US Constitution: First Amendment

Congress shall pass no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

This is one thing we know about Sarah Palin:
  • As Governor of Wasilla, Palin asked librarian Mary Ellen Emmons on three separate occasions how one would go about banning books. "Hypothetically." Palin stated her voters had a problem with the "language" in some books; however, no specific texts were mentioned. The librarian repeatedly stated she, in fact, DID have a problem with book-banning(I'm guessing because she WORKED in a LIBRARY. With BOOKS). The librarian was subsequently fired for not being a "team player," but was able to get her job back later(http://www.adn.com/sarah-palin/story/515512.html).
Mrs. Palin, you can't pick and choose which Amendments work for you. The Constitution isn't a Chinese menu, where you can order the Right to Bear Arms but hold the Freedom of Speech(no offense meant to Chinese menus).
